St Edward’s RC Primary, a Voluntary Academy

At St Edward's, we are very lucky to have a number of different pupil groups which contribute to the Catholic Life and Mission of our school. These groups have particular areas to focus on:

GIFT Chaplaincy Team - contribute to the prayer life of the school. They support our children in preparing and leading liturgies; run additional prayer activities at different times in the year and lead school in some areas of collective worship, including Masses and assemblies.

Caritas Ambassadors - are linked to our diocesan charity, Caritas in Salford. They work on community projects and are involved in outreach, including raising awareness of those on the margins of society or who may be vulnerable in some way.

Laudato Si Group - are a representation of Pope Francis' call to 'care for our common home.' They are a group which look at ways in which we can make our school enviornment more sustainable and eco-friendly, as well as raising awareness of wider issues in our school, local and global communities
