Eco Club/ Laudato Si'

The Laudato Si'/ Eco club has reformed for this school year.

We have been working on our manifesto to enable us to progress and achieve the Silver Award.

Across school we are recycling plastics, paper, bottles and cans alongside the battery, dental products, clothing and ink cartridge recycling programmes shown below.

The Laudato Si' group  are monitoring the food waste in the school dining hall  and will report our findings to encourage pupils not to waste food.

   Empties Please

We have come across a great new and easy way to raise funds for our school through recycling used ink cartridges.

We are working with a company called ‘Empties Please’. They collect and recycle used ink and toner cartridges the environmentally friendly way and will donate the money raised back to us!

It’s very simple. All we have to do is collect used ink cartridges and put them in our recycle bin.

‘Empties Please’ will collect the bin when it’s full and then donate money raised straight back to our school with a certificate to display in our reception area.

The Big Battery Hunt We are still taking part in the Big Battery Hunt recycling challenge.

Under the supervision of an adult, we are asking pupils to collect as many used batteries as possible and bring them in to school.

There is a large recycling container for the batteries in the school entrance.
