Welcome to the website for St Edward's RC Primary, a Voluntary Academy. We are incredibly proud of being part of a thriving parish and strong community at St Edward's. Our school's mission statement, taken from John's Gospel, reminds us that Christ 'came to give us life, to live life to its fullest.' Every day at our school, we try to ensure that all of us can 'live life to the full.' We try to live our lives according to the teaching and example of Jesus, our friend.
Our children define our school's mission as 'Love. Learn. Smile. Believe.' These are the four cornerstones on which everything that happens in school is built upon. You can find out more about what this means for us in school on our 'Values and Ethos' page. We celebrate daily the teachings of Christ and the Word of God, reflecting on how Sacred Scripture impacts on our lives today; we meet together to pray; we show others how He wanted us to live our lives and we look after each other.
One of the comments that is often made about St Edward's is the 'family' feel of the school. There are times, as there are in all families, where things don't run smoothly but opportunities to reflect and repair are rooted in Christ's message of love and reconciliation.
We are proud of our school. Therefore, we welcome visitors and new families to be with us as we live life to its fullest each day and answer our call to be messengers of the Gospel in our daily lives.
